Warm-agglutinin haemolytic anaemia (warm coombs positive anaemia) occurs when IgG antibodies are produced against red blood cells. These tagged red blood cells are destroyed in the spleen (extravascular hemolysis), leading to anaemia. It is usually seen in lymphoproliferative disorders and autoimmune diseases.
