Paediatric Femoral Shaft Fracture

Femoral shaft fractures are the most common fracture-related indication for admission in paediatrics. However, they only account for about 2% of paediatric fractures. Femoral shaft fractures should prompt concern for non-accidental injury in patients < 3 years old.
