Atopic eruption of pregnancy is characterised by pruritus and rash (eruption) during the first and second trimester of pregnancy. It is the most common skin condition of pregnancy. The diagnosis is clinical.
It is more common in women with atopy or a family history of atopy.

- Polymorphic eruption of pregnancy: occurs during the third trimester. Presents as pruritic, erythematous papules on the abdomen with periumbilical sparing
- Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy
- Pemphigoid gestationis (pregnancy-related bullous pemphigoid)
- Treatment
- Symptoms resolve spontaneously following delivery
- Oral antihistamines to relieve pruritus
- Topical emollients, 1% menthol in aqueous cream, and steroid cream
